Novena Night #4

Praise be Jesus Christ!

Happy Feast day of Blessed Zelie & Louis Martin (the parents of St. Therese)!  And, a special blessing on our Sister Zelie at the Carmel of St. Louis!

Last evening it was the heat which kept the novena indoors and tonight it was the terrible storms.  Despite the storms disabling power the chapel was still over capacity with souls as we prayed on this 4th night of the Novena to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.  Fr. Kevin Schroeder (Associate Pastor of St. Joseph in Cottleville) celebrated the mass in which he spoke on the virtue of temperence.  His homily is quite humourous and touching as he relates stories from his own life. You may listen to his homily (indeed the mass in its entirety) join us in recitation of the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Holy Rosary.  You will also be hearing the wonderful voices from the youth choir of St. Catherine Laboure parish in St. Louis.  (The communion hymn of Ave Maria brought tears to eyes and heart of this blog writer! God bless those voices!)
